The Gymnastic/Tumbling program is one of the biggest programs at the studio and it is still growing! Students use the balance beam, gymnastic bar, air track, incline mats, and climbing blocks.
Candidates must be self-motivated and flexible, with experience teaching a variety of ages. Job requires excellent communication, a positive attitude and outgoing personality! Must be interested in working with children and have a passion for tumbling and their students’ growth. Have a background in tumbling, acrobatics, gymnastics, or cheerleading and able to run an entire class.
Maximum class sizes are 10-12 students, and class lengths range from 30-60minutes. Classes start at age 1.
Responsibilities: 1. Develops lesson plans using MAMD's curriculums to further the dance education goals. 2. Implements lesson plans, structured activities, and appropriate choreography and costuming. 3. Effectively collaborates with staff and faculty to produce small- and large-scale learning and performing opportunities. 4. Provides hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences. 5. Maintains an organized, well-supplied, clean, and safe learning environment. 6. Knows and practices safety standards and policies and manages students accordingly. 7. Effectively manages class sizes of 5-10 students. 8. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with children and parents. 9. Attendance at and active participation in scheduled staff meeting and trainings. 10. Have fun and love what you do!

The Dance Instructor will implement curriculum and dance instruction for children ages 5 to 18 years old.
Working within a collaborative team environment, duties include teaching and choreographing pieces for non-competitive levels in one or more of the following styles: ballet, jazz, tap, or hip hop.
Additional duties include attending performances, creating goals for the class as a whole and individual students, and creating a positive atmosphere for MAMD families.
